Irfan Ul-Haq Scholarship

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year or continuing student.

First-year applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicants must be pursuing a major in mathematics or data science.
2. Applicants must score in the upper 20 percent of all scores on the Levell II Individual Exam at the UW-Platteville math contest.

Continuing Student applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicants must be majoring or minoring in a program offered in the math department.
2. Applicants must have an overall GPA 3.0 or higher
3. Applicants must have competed in at least one of hte annual events the Mathematics Department hosts or prepares students for such as Mathematical Modeling Contest, Putnam Exam, Math Contest, Etc.
