Alicia and her husband Jonathan created the Gerald “Jerry” Lolwing Scholarship in honor of Alicia’s father, ensuring his memory and values live on through future generations of students. Born and raised in southwestern Wisconsin, Gerald “Jerry” Lolwing built his life in Platteville, where he raised his family alongside his wife, Sue, and proudly served the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for 31 years. Jerry began his career as a program assistant in the mechanical engineering department in 1985. His commitment to lifelong learning led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in business in 1992

Anthony Kemnitz, husband of Ellen, and the KJU / ETK Scholarship Board created the Ellen T. Kemnitz, CPA Memorial Scholarship to assist students who are pursing a degree in business or accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Ellen earned Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville in 1986. She later went on to receive a Master’s in Business Administration from Concordia University in 2012. On August 17, 1985, she married Tony Kemnitz at St Paul’s Lutheran church in Waterloo, WI. Arlen and Eleanore (Jelayne) grew up in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Both attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to further their education upon graduating from high school. As high school sweethearts, Arlen and Jelayne got married while attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Arlen studied Technical Education and Industrial Studies and Jelayne studied Elementary Education After graduation, they settled in Huntley, Illinois where they both worked in the same school district for three decades before retiring to travel with their family. Beatrice A. Niblock was born on November 1949 in Clinton, Iowa, she was delivered as a born educator. She was the daughter of Earl and Helen (Botkin) Niblock and graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1968. In 1972, she graduated form the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and in 1976 with her mater’s degree from the same. She furthered her studies at the Univeristy of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina and Western Illinois University receiving her Administrative Degree in 1988. She also received her MBA from St. Ambrose University in 1987. In 1988, she began a colorful career

As a transfer student from Clinton Community College ( CCC ) in Iowa, Betty found the transition from a two-year college to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville very easy. Betty chose the school because it was affordable, and her parents knew someone who had attended and spoke highly of it. When Betty visited campus, she learned that all of her credits from CCC would transfer. Although she hasn’t used her Elementary Education degree as much as she expected, as she ended up teaching more in the Business Education field, she had many good memories of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Bill Bumgardner built a distinguished career in industrial arts education, earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial arts from Emporia State Teacher’s College, followed by a master’s in educational specialties in industrial technology from Pittsburgh Kansas State University. His teaching journey began in Kansas, where he spent fifteen years at schools in Lincolnville, Reading, and Parsons before joining UW-Platteville in 1967. At UW-Platteville, Bill taught industrial arts (later known as technology education) and supervised student teachers until his retirement in 1988 as

Dan was born in Mauston, Wisconsin. Dan was a loyal, honest person who had two great loves in his life: golf and hunting! To be considered his friend was an “honor” and his loyalty knew no bounds. Dan was an avid golfer who was the first member at Trapper’s Turn Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells; he was proud of this prestigious golf club and each summer while home in Wisconsin, he could be found on the golf course with some of his friends. While he never experienced his own hole-in-one, he did witness his friend’s hole-in-one at Trappers Turn and was just as enthused as if it had happened to
